梅西耶 110（也稱為M110 和 NGC 205）是一個w:矮橢圓星系，是w:仙女座星系的衛星星系。^[4] M110 包含一些塵埃和最近恆星形成的跡象，這對於一般矮橢圓星系來說是不尋常的。^[4]

歷史

M110 是在 1773 年 8 月 10 日由w:梅西耶偶然發現的，當時他正在觀測仙女座星系。^[5] 這個星系在 1783 年 8 月 27 日由w:卡羅琳·赫歇爾獨立發現；她的哥哥w:威廉·赫歇爾在 1785 年描述了她的發現。^[5] 雖然這個星系最初沒有被包含在梅西耶的第一個星表中，但後來被w:肯尼斯·格林·瓊斯在 1966 年新增進去。^[5]^[6] M110 仍然是梅西耶星表中最後新增的物體。

1999 年，約翰遜和莫傑茲在 M110 中發現了一顆w:新星。^[7]
