梅西耶 59（也稱為M59或NGC 4621）是一個位於室女座的w:橢圓星系.
歷史
梅西耶 59 和附近的橢圓星系w:梅西耶 60 都由w:約翰·戈特弗裡德·科勒在四月w:1779年觀測同一片天空中的w:彗星時發現。[4] w:查爾斯·梅西耶在科勒發現後三天左右將其列入了w:梅西耶天體目錄。[4]
室女座星系團成員
M59 是w:室女座星系團的成員。
